Our commitment
The Next Humanity should be usable by everybody, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or reduced motion. We treat an accessibility problem as a bug, not a feature request.
Standard we aim at
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. This site was rebuilt against that standard in August 2026.
What is in place
Every page can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is always visible. There is a skip link to the main content. Headings are in a real order. Images that carry meaning have alternative text and images that are decoration are hidden from screen readers. Colour is never the only way information is given. Text contrast meets AA. Audio and video have real controls rather than custom widgets that cannot be reached. If your system asks for reduced motion, animation stops.
Where we fall short
We want to be straight about this. The podcast episodes do not yet have transcripts, which is the biggest gap on the site and one we intend to close. Some artwork migrated from the old site still carries no alternative text, and we are working through it. The Vision Book is a set of image spreads and is not yet readable by a screen reader.
